Minnieland Staff
Minnieland schools are staffed with trained, enthusiastic individuals who have been selected for their educational backgrounds and experiences, and their dedication to young children. Our staff members receive a formal orientation and continuous training in child care practices and new innovations in the child care field through our Corporate Training Program.
Additionally, Minnieland provides CPR and First Aid training to our employees, as well as training in specialized medication administration and OSHA Training. Employees are also provided with Career Workshops and Professional Conferences throughout the year. In addition to the basic training offered by Minnieland, our employees have the opportunity to receive their Child Development Associates credential. We also offer Educational Assistance for our employees to complete their Bachelor's Degree and Post Bachelor's Degrees. Minnieland Private Day School is an equal opportunity employer.
Corporate Training Program
Minnieland is committed to providing its children with the best, most up to date programs and equipment and a trained and professional staff. Minnieland offers an eighteen-hour training course for teachers in the areas of infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age care. The training is divided into six, three-hour sessions that are devoted to the important topics of health and safety, parent communication, room arrangement and schedule, guidance and discipline, developmental milestones and needs, and curriculum planning. Teachers are evaluated in a follow up assessment of their classroom and teaching behavior. These courses are offered on an ongoing basis at our three training facilities.
Child Development Associate (CDA)
Our Corporate Training Department is available to our Directors and Teachers for on site assistance at any time. In addition to our training department, Minnieland has an in-house Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialing program. These courses are offered on an ongoing basis at our Corporate Training facility in Woodbridge Virginia.
